Program Highlights
St. Mary’s University offers eight Bachelor of Arts degrees, a Bachelor of Science degree, a Bachelor of Education after degree and transferable university courses in 35 academic disciplines. St. Mary’s is accredited to offer four three-year Bachelor of Arts degrees with concentrations in General Studies, English, History, or Psychology. Five four-year degrees: a Bachelor of Arts with majors in English, Psychology, Liberal Studies or History and a Bachelor of Science with a major in Biology.
Practicums & Internships
Bachelor of Education (Elementary) students participate in 26 weeks of practicum experience where they put theory to practice.
Extracurricular Activities
There’s more to university life than classes, assignments and papers. Get involved in one (or more) of the many clubs, activities and groups ready to welcome you at St. Mary’s University. Clubs focusing on literary arts, photography, social justice, board games and art welcome all. If you have an interest that isn’t represented, forming a new club of your own is always possible.
Athletics
The St. Mary’s University Lightning Athletics team feature in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) and are represented by Women’s and Men’s Basketball, Cross-Country running and the recently added Indoor Track teams. Various recreational sports offerings are presented throughout the school year.
