Canadian Mennonite University

Community Culture
At CMU you will join a “big enough/small enough” university community that reflects an expanding network of significant and diverse relationships. You will develop leadership skills, strengthen your academic experience and achievement, cultivate impactful relationships, and engage spiritually and ethically with critical issues like racism, climate change, and reconciliation.
Practicums & Internships
Unique among Canadian universities, CMU degrees feature a required practicum and supervised off-campus work experience for students. CMU’s Practica Program partners with 500+ local and global partners in education, healthcare, business, church, legal, social service, agriculture, government, and NGO organizations. These placements enrich academic learning and offer hands-on work experience.
Career Expectations
CMU’s Centre for Career and Vocation is committed to working with students to help them figure out who they are and who they want to be in the world. Through courses, workshops, one-on-one career advising, peer coaching and more, the centre supports you on your journey of career exploration.

Student Testimony
“The depth of courses at CMU, the opportunity to participate in faculty research, and methods of analyzing situations from an interdisciplinary perspective, have been critical as I prepare for medical school.”
