Pacific Theatre’s latest play Leave of Absence opens Friday.
About the show:
Blake is an audacious young girl who sees life differently from her peers at her Catholic high school: while “Our Father” is lost on her, she finds solace in God as Mother; she sees the holy in everything from a squashed worm to a skyscraper; and she is discovering her own sexuality. The intersection of the spiritual and the sexual causes conflict with her peers, eventually tearing her community apart.
