Why Newman?

NTC provides theological education which is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools. We offer courses and programs both on-campus and online and numerous scholarships and bursaries are available. Program Highlights

Master of Divinity: preparation for professional culturally diverse ministry through academic, pastoral and spiritual formation. Master of Religious Education: basic degree for the theological and spiritual development of Catholic educators. Bachelor of Theology: a basic understanding of theology and a foundation for pastoral leadership. Other Programs: graduate, undergraduate, and certificate programs available both on-campus and online.

Practicums & Internships

Students in our Pastoral programs experience Prayer Leadership, Ministry of Presence, Preaching, and Field Education opportunities (prisons, schools, hospitals, care homes, etc.).

Career Expectations

Graduates of NTC work chaplains in hospitals, universities, high schools, prisons and military bases, as pastoral assistants in parishes, as diocesan directors of catechesis, marriage and family life, ecumenism, social justice, retreat work, and adult faith formation, in theological education, and as teachers in the area of Religious Education or Administrators in Catholic Schools.
